I’m not exaggerating when I say that half of our time spent in Utrecht was spent in its numerous cafés, having one locally roasted artisan cup of coffee after another and generally just people watching and taking in the awesomeness of the Dutch. I’m also not exaggerating when I say that a big reason why I wanted to go back to the Netherlands in general was so I could revisit my old favourites, check out if the same baristas still work at the same cafés…Continue Reading “Utrecht Coffee Guide”

How is it only 7 days until Christmas? December has really flown by this year, which makes my recent trip to London feel like ages ago, when it actually was only three weeks. But hey, take this tiny travel guide as a gift guide instead, I bet all of your moms would be thrilled to find plane tickets to London under the tree!  Kuidas on see võimalik, et jõuludeni on jäänud ainult seitse päeva? Detsember on sel aastal tõepoolest mööda lennanud ja mu hiljutine Londoni-reis…Continue Reading “My Tiny Guide To Notting Hill”

I”m going to make it look trés effortless and casually pop in that I spent last weekend, seemingly spontaneously, in London. In reality, it took a bit of planning and a whole lot of trying to keep the secret to myself, as a weekend away in the British capital was a birthday present for my mom and she only found out the destination three days before the flight. I bought the tickets in August so you can imagine the amount of self control that went…Continue Reading “Lipstick On Your Collar”

The title of this post is thoroughly justified, because Venice really feels like a living, breathing postcard that sucks you in to its little alleys of narrow houses and gondola-filled canals. One thing that you don’t see on the postcards (or the planned Instagrams), however, are the thousands of tourists swarming over the Rialto bridge and making their way through said alleys towards St. Mark’s square. Even though Pinterest paints a pretty picture of a romantic Venice, the reality was quite overwhelming (funfact: there are…Continue Reading “Postcards From Venice”

On to more Italian adventures, with Verona, the (un)official city of romance lined up! Although despite the fancy title, I didn’t particularly fall in love with it. It did provide some stunning views and gorgeous streets for some hand-in-hand lovey-dovey exploring, but having seen a fair few European old towns in my time, Verona didn’t really stand out too much. Of course our two days of walking were filled with oohing-and-aahing too, but instead of a full on city guide I decided to put together…Continue Reading “5 Tips For Verona”

Throwing it back to sunny Verona and one of my favourite off-the-beaten-path gems of our trip. Away from the tourist-filled old town, the Giusti Gardens provided a welcome break from the sightseeing, with the high cypress trees and slowly dripping fountains giving us some much-needed refuge from the hot sun too. The gardens are hidden from the street and you only find this haven of calm once you’ve passed through an archway of a pretty inexpressive building. They’re also surrounded by high walls on every…Continue Reading “Secret Gardens In Verona”

As promised, I’m dipping my toes to travel blogger waters and putting together three little city guides from my week in Italy. For some background information, we took the flight from Riga to Bergamo, in classic budget Ryanair style and then travelled across the country all the way to Venice, ticking off Verona and Padova along the way. In hindsight, a week was a bit too little time for so many cities, but I couldn’t help missing any of them, because when else am I…Continue Reading “A Mini Guide To Bergamo”

Buongiorno, Italian posts! I’m well back into my everyday routine here and our picture-perfect getaway to Italy seems like a million miles away (whereas it’s only been a week…). Nothing like those autumnal temperatures and long days at work to welcome a girl back home! However I plan to guide you though that week in Italy and put on a brave travel blogger face, if you’ll bare with me and my holiday pictures.  As this is first and foremost a style blog, then clothes get…Continue Reading “Walks In Bergamo”

A few weeks go when I had my first proper days off, from school, from work, from everything, I decided to escape the city and allow myself a little spa break under the picturesque pines of Eastern Estonia. As my dad often visits the area for work and usually stays at Toila Spa Hotel, then that particular place was an obvious choice for our little overnight holiday. It’s not the fanciest of places, but it does the trick.  Not only is it reasonably affordable –…Continue Reading “I Had A Spa Holiday And So Should You”

Antwerp is a ridiculously gorgeous city and those 15 euro bus tickets were the best thing I’ve spent money on during my time in Utrecht. Coming from the far away Nordic land of Estonia, I can’t really wrap my head around how simple it is to go from one country to another and from one picture-perfect city to another here in Central Europe. (*puts on her best country girl face*)  As a tourist destination, I totally recommend Antwerp over Brussels, if you ever feel like…Continue Reading “Postcards From Antwerp (And A New Vlog!)”
